Monster Hunter Wilds: Second Open Beta Details and What to Expect
Capcom has announced the second phase of the Open Beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, giving players another opportunity to explore the game before its official release on February 28, 2025. This beta testing phase will take place in two separate sessions:
- First session: February 6–9, 2025
- Second session: February 13–16, 2025
Unlike the first beta, which had early access exclusive to PlayStation 5 users with a PlayStation Plus subscription, this second beta will be available to all players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Beta Content
In addition to the content from the first beta, this second phase introduces new challenges and features:
- New Monsters: Players will face Gypceros and Arkveld, the latter being Monster Hunter Wilds’ flagship monster.
- Private Lobbies & Solo Mode: Players can now team up with friends in private lobbies or take on the hunts solo.
- Training Grounds: A new training area has been added at the base camp, allowing players to test out different weapons before heading into battle.
Beta Rewards
By participating in the beta, players can earn exclusive rewards that will carry over to the full game:
- A special weapon charm
- A starter item pack to aid in future hunts
To receive these rewards, players must create a character during the beta and use the same account in the full game.
How to Join the Beta
To participate, players need to download the open beta client from their platform’s digital store.
- No registration or pre-order is required.
- The pre-load will be available 24 hours before each beta session, so players can prepare in advance.
This second Open Beta is a great chance for hunters to sharpen their skills, take on new challenges, and contribute valuable feedback to improve the game. With the official release date approaching, Monster Hunter Wilds promises an exciting and content-packed hunting experience for all fans of the series!
