GIF support in comments is less about making LinkedIn fun and more about commoditizing attention: once everyone can animate their reactions, the real differentiator becomes judgment, not expression. In that sense, GIFs are valuable only when they add signal to a conversation already worth having; otherwise they turn professional engagement into background noise.
